Robyn Caldwell is a CPA, Accountant at Duncan, Messersmith & Associates. She has a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Henderson State University. Robyn is now marching into her 20th year at the firm--we are lucky to have her and appreciate her drive, commitment and knowledge, CONGRATULATIONS!
We sat down with Robyn to get to know her a little better and asked her hard hitting questions like, "What are the top three highlights of your life?".
Here's what she had to say.
What are the top three highlights of your life?
1) Marrying my husband, John
2) Having 2 terrific kids, Chris and Rachel
3) Passing the CPA exam
What do you like best about working for Duncan, Messersmith & Associates?
The thing I love about working at DM&A is the variety. Every day is different. We are also trusted to determine the priorities for the day.
If you could do another job just for one day, what would it be?
If I could choose a different job for one day it would be a gardener. I would love to sit in the sun and plant flowers all day long. The ironic thing is I have a brown thumb.
Where is your favorite vacation spot?
We have taken some awesome vacations, but I’d probably choose Ambergris Caye in Belize as my favorite one. I really felt immersed in a different culture while I was there.
What is your motto or personal mantra?
To be happy, you need the following three things: someone to love, something to do and something to look forward to.
What is one thing you couldn’t live without?
I’m not sure how long I would last without Mexican food—especially guac and salsa!
If you could go back, what would you tell your 13 year-old self?
Don’t be so shy!!!!
What would people be surprised to know about you?
People might be surprised to know that I love to kayak. We purchased kayaks last year and I am obsessed. There is nothing like floating down the river enjoying the sun and our beautiful state.
